Upcoming Comex Jailbreak seems to be Released Today

Quick heads up, someone published this image on the web, we don't know it's source but it's seems not fake! Comex mentioned in his podcast interview that he is waiting for saurik to finish Cydia bootstrap, the screenshot below shows a message from saurik saying that he already gave the bootstrap to comex.

I actually gave comex the bootstrap he needed last night. so I am no longer the bottleneck. (The concept of “bottleneck” is very transient.)

It seems really close, may be it will be released today and Sunday be the FunDay? Absolutely they are running a group of tests on all devices to be sure it's safe and excellent to be released for public, so Stay tuned!

We all (even me) thought that the new account on twitter @georgehotz is the real Geohot and we posted that he apologized to all people for his bad behavior. At first he started privately and once all knew that he apologized, he went public and got a lot of followers, Actually I was surprised when I saw this tweet from @gerogehotz

Someone mentioned @georgehotz hoping that he is the real Geohot, But he answered him,

Its not real its just for fun!

So, Now decide, Follow him for some fun but he is not real! he is a parody account!

Good News to get the hopes up, in an all-star podcast interview with Comex, Planetbeing, Chpwn, and Saurik yesterday, Comex was asked "When is the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock is going to be released?", the answer was great "pretty close to done"

Question: When is the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock is going to be released?

Comex: You will have to ask Saurik if he’s done with that bootstrap yet. Like I hate to say this because people will be complaining, but it is pretty close to done.

PlanetBeing: Unlock is done. Just waiting for the jailbreak to be released.

Chpwn: The jailbreak definitely needs a lot of testing before it is released, to make sure it works on everybody’s phone, and that there are no issues like Spirit had where it deleted all of your photos in the first few days of the release.

Twitter is Adding "Suggestions for You" and "Recommendations" Features

Just heads up, Twitter has published a new blog post saying it begins to roll out a new feature "Suggestions for You", This new feature suggests people you don’t currently follow that you may find interesting or known as "Recommended Users". You will be able to see "Suggestions for You" field under "Find People", it's not appearing for normal users now, Only for Developers!

With more than a hundred million users on Twitter, there are sure to be at least dozens of accounts out there that will reflect your interests. The trouble is finding all of them. Today we're beginning to roll out a simple, but powerful new feature to help address that -- "Suggestions for You". The algorithms in this feature, built by our user relevance team, suggest people you don’t currently follow that you may find interesting. The suggestions are based on several factors, including people you follow and the people they follow. You'll see these suggestions on Twitter.com and the Find People section. How to: Speed Up iPhone 3G on iOS 4 with 5 Fixes

I know that most of iPhone 3G users complain about the performance of the device after upgrading to iOS 4, Some users disabled Multitasking but still very slow, so here's a round up of fixes for slowness of iPhone 3G on iOS 4, check them below..

Perform a “hard reset”,
Hold down the sleep/wake and home buttons simultaneously for roughly 15-20 seconds, until the screen powers off then an Apple logo appears, which signifies a reboot. Some users have (oddly enough) reported that performing two hard resets resolves the slowness issue.

Restore Again,
That what I think, restoring an iPhone may fix slowness but this time don't restore from backup. I knw it will will delete contacts and other data but may resolve this issue.

Give More Space,
You may leave 10% free space for your iPhone as iOS 4.x need a lot of space to perform faster.

Turn off Spotlight,
Already told you that Spotlight Search may solve this issue, follow the step by step guide posted here to turn of spotlight search.

Turn off MMS,
Touch on Settings > Messages > MMS messaging and change MMS Messaging to “Off,” then perform a hard reset as shown above.

After doing that all and performance still bad, Then go and ask Apple to fix this issue! Oh, got a tip to make iPhone 3G perform faster? Tell us by commenting below..

Geohot Apologizing

Geohot the has just sent a tweet from few seconds, he apologized about his behavior and suddenly disappearance, as we know George Hotz is a big name in the jailbreak world he is the creator of the blakra1n and blacksn0w tools. See what he said after the break.

I understand most of you say you depend on my work, but reality is I made a lot of great tools and resources for others to continue. I apologize for my behavior the last few months but you must understand my life doea not revolve around just iphone. This was something I picked up for fun and now it has turned to much more than that. we have many great people on the scene now, please check them out. i don't plan on releasing anything soon. Thank you.

I think it is not logic to see one don't like fame, money, appreciation and respect from people, cause the jailbreakers look like Hollywood Stars in the internet community, I think that Geohot may continue but via his friend Mike Cohen.

Warning:iPhone 3G/3GS Unlockers, Ultrasn0w 0.93 Exploit Obsolete from Baseband 05.14.01

Sherif Hashim one of the dev-team members sent a tweet confirmed that baseband 05.14.01 and above makes ultrasn0w 0.93's exploit obsolete, he sent the tweet to warn iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users should stay on iOS 4.0 & iOS 4.0.1 and don't update to newer iOS versions, or they will not be able to unlock their iPnones.

I think DevTeam have to rewrite Ultrasn0w again to works on the baseband  but don't expect it anytime soon as they already done with ultrasn0w 0.94 that would unlock iPhone 4.

In an earlier post we make a coverage about the new Apple products (Multi-touch Trackpad, New Mac Pro with 12 processing cores and 27″ Cinema Display), today I will show you the first hands-on video for the Magic Trackpad (The first Multi-Touch Trackpad).

This device as you know is used for the Mac desktop computers, Apple describe the Magic Trackpad by "Let your fingers do the clicking, scrolling, and swiping", Apple priced the Magic Trackpad  with $69,   Magic Trackpad is just like the Trackpad on the MacBook Pro, but it is largest than it by 80%, It's the largest Multi-Touch trackpad made by Apple, Magic Trackpad features the same sculpted aluminum deign as the Apple wireless keyboard, if you put the beside each other they will look one part, Magic Trackpad works via blutooth. Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Beta 2 on iPhone 3G & iPod Touch 2G Using Redsn0w

iOS 4.1 Beta 2 was released last night and I think it fixed some bugs and solved the proximity sensor issue which was plaguing some iPhone 4 users since launch. MuscleNerd has tweeted that Redsn0w Beta 5 can be used to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Beta 2 for both iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G, But Ultrasn0w will not work as iOS 4.1 Beta 2 Changes the Baseband and need to rewrite Ultrasn0w!

If you've updated to 4.1beta2 on iPhone3G or iPod2G(non-MC), you can use this redsn0w from June to jailbreak. Just point it at the 4.0 IPSW (the public one, not the developer GM one).
(Yes – point it at the 4.0 IPSW even though you're at 4.1beta2).
Don't do this if you need the ultrasn0w carrier unlock!!
Note 1: This won't hacktivate your iPhone3G – but for those with legit access to the 4.1beta2 this shouldn't matter. Please don't pirate Apple software
Note 2: If you're at 4.1beta2 you'll probably experience network problems after jailbreaking. Until a new version of redsn0w is released, you may need to rely on afc2 access (such as FunBox-like file browser programs) to manipulate your filesystem.
Note 3: This is recommended only for power users who can deal with the problems that will pop up as the JB apps fall further behind the beta firmwares.

Well, I respect this guy a lot and my message to him is not to leave as he is genius and we all respect him and his tools! The reason behind leaving is because Jay Freeman a.k.a saurik the developer of Cydia who said that iH8sn0w is not "Legit", meanwell people can't trust iH8sn0w?
iH8sn0w already developed nice tools but he failed in some guides and corrected his mistakes! he created some advanced guides to jailbreak iPod touch 3G and iPhone 3GS new boot who got 3.1.2 SHSH. So Dude, What about not leaving and prove your Self with a new Sn0wbreeze! Oh and remember iPhone 4 will be delivered in Canda by July 30 so get your self ready!

Twitter to bring Photos and Videos in Stream

I know that's surprising most of us, But as I thought, Twitter is going to add Photos and Videos to be shown in the Stream, You will be able to see Photos and Videos in your Twitter timeline the same as Facebook but much easier and faster!

This was found in a description of a new features called "Twitter Media" as shown above:
By default, you’ll only see images and videos shared by people you’re following, and reveal those by people you’re not. Check this box to see media from everyone on Twitter.

Android 3.0 Test Build spotted in the Wild?

Guys over Phandroid got their hands on a screenshot which surprised me and will surprise you! I can see the picture below shows someone holding Nexus one in his hands, in the about, it includes Firmware Version 3.0 of Android. Check it below..

Well, Planetbeing today has posted on his twitter account that he has already updated to iOS 4.0.1 on his iPhone 4and that was a good thing to find that it's unlockable with taller bars. This unlock is the one that Planetbeing used before and Musclenerd said that it's the best and they will use it on the new update for Ultrasn0w.

I updated to 4.0.1. Yay, taller bars and the unlock still works fine out of the box.

Library of Congress Adds DMCA Exception for Jailbreaking and Rooting

The Library of Congress has announced, anti-circumvention exceptions to the DMCA policies that legally allow people to jailbreak or root their phones. Now, I think Apple will not be happy by this press release from the library of congress.

Today I have designated six classes of works. Persons who circumvent access controls in order to engage in noninfringing uses of works in these six classes will not be subject to the statutory prohibition against circumvention.

Computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications, when they have been lawfully obtained, with computer programs on the telephone handset.

Well, Today a member in ModMyi has posted that he could find a way to speed up iPhone 3G on iOS 4 as he noticed a lot of people complaining about iOS 4 on iPhone 3G and it really kicks iPhone 3G speed! The way was very simple and easy, it's just about to turn off Spotlight Search, Check how to do that below..
Steps:
It's simple and easy, all what you have to do is to go "Settings" >> "General" >> "Home Button" >> "Spotlight Search", Now switch off all that in there to be the final screenshot like this,

RecBoot 1.1 to Exit and Enter Recovery Mode, Now without LibUSB!

What if you stuck on Recovery Mode? or your Home Button is closed? May be you run a program and need to kick out Recovery Mode? Well, RecBoot is what you want, With Recboot you can get out of Recovery to mode without need to LibUSB.

Here's iHacker update on Recboot 1.1:

I’ve been getting TONS of emails from people saying that RecBoot wasn’t working for them because of libusb. This update makes RecBoot use iTunnel instead of iRecovery, which is based around MobileDevice.h, which means no libusb!

If you wish to enter Recovery Mode, however, you will need to download and place iTunesMobileDevice.dll in the RecBoot folder. I cannot provide this due to legal reasons. I could have made RecBoot point to the DLL from the registry, but I’m not going to, it’s just a quick open source thing I created for the community that isn’t a big deal, feel free to do whatever you want with it, use the batch files and everything else in the folder. The source code can be downloaded here. RecBoot is yours now, I’m not going to be spending all my time on a program that opens a batch file.
